When you have decided with your dentist that veneers are the best option for your needs, a small layer will be taken off of the front of your teeth. This amount is usually less than a millimetre and makes it so the veneers will not add extra bulk to your existing teeth.
A light-sensitive resin bond is placed on your tooth and then the veneer is fitted. The resin is then hardened with a special light, completing the bond.
There are standard veneers and a minimal or “no-prep” veneer option. These veneers do not require as much of the tooth to be removed before being applied and are usually bonded more quickly.
